This is the original, one-of-one painting—the source piece from which the limited edition prints were created. There is only one original like this in existence, and once it enters a private collection, it is gone forever.
Built on a hand-assembled collage of authentic vintage Hulk and Wolverine black-and-white comic panels, this painting begins with the raw history of the characters themselves. Over that foundation, I took an iconic Bruce Timm Hulk drawing and reinterpreted it in full color, painting directly onto the collage. The result is a powerful collision of eras: classic panel art, legendary linework, and bold modern color fused into a single, layered piece.
